THE HISTORY
It all started back in 2003 with a simple t-shirt. At the time I was the owner/editor of Origivation Magazine (I gave it away in 2006 because I moved to Arizona) and was looking for unique ways to promote it. I’d often hear bands complain about the thriving cover scene in Philly and so – the ‘cover bands suck’ t-shirt was born. Stupid, right? I agree. The t-shirt made its debut at the Dewey Beach Music Conference where 200 were given away for free (courtesy of Synergy Print Design).

THE WEBSITE
In it’s first incarnation, coverbandssuck.com was just a place where you could order the t-shirt. Eventually that evolved into a random thoughts kind of website. And from 2007 – 2010 it was nothing.

Now it’s 2011 and I’ve got a reasonable hold on this whole blogging / WordPress thing, as well as a bunch of touring, management and booking experience…. time to fire up CoverBandsSuck.com again!

And the t-shirts…. yeah, they’re back.
